A Westchester attorney is suing the daughter-in-law of Rockland’s County Executive for falsely claiming she went into a personal relationship with him to get contracts for her law practice. The Journal News reported Donna Pascucci accused Jennifer Day of making false comments on Facebook last year. The social media battles between Ed Day and former Orangetown supervisor Chris Day led Chris to not seek reelection. The suit noted the Rockland D-A’s investigation found there was no illegal conduct and no contracts were steered to Pascucci’s law firm. The suit was reportedly filed in Westchester Supreme Court on December 31st. Ed Day says the matter will play out in court, and will not comment further on the proceedings.
