Affordable Housing Development Opens in Nanuet
An affordable housing development is now open in Nanuet. Vincent’s Village on Convent Road is a $42 million project, more than half that funding came from New York State Homes and Community Renewal. The 55-and-older development has three residential buildings with 93 affordable homes, including 81 one-bedroom units and 12 two-bedroom units. There’s also a custom-designed communal space sponsored by the Sisters of Charity Housing Development Corporation. There are also on-site health and wellness services. The apartments are designed to be affordable to households earning at or below 60 percent of the area’s median income.

Dominican Sisters of Sparkill to Host Fundraiser Event Sunday to Benefit Nyack’s One-to-One Learning
The Dominican Sisters of Sparkill are hosting a fundraising event Sunday to help fund a program they’ve been running for a quarter century that’s dedicated to teaching English to immigrants. STAR-FEST XII is a live concert that’ll stream online to benefit the Nyack group, One-to-One Learning.
