Work on Port Jervis Line Alters Commute

September 12, 2022 by Jeff Lewis

Buses are replacing midday weekday trains and all weekend trains on portions of the Port Jervis Line through November 13th. Metro-North Railroad and NJ Transit crews will be replacing 10,000 wood cross-ties, three switches and perform track joint welds. During this time, trains will operate normally between Suffern and Hoboken, but folks traveling to or from stations beyond Suffern will be able to transfer between trains and buses at the Ramsey Route 17 Station. The MTA says riders beyond Suffern should allow for extra travel time. For more information click here.
