A woman who was convicted in the 1996 murder of her husband in Pearl River has been released from her federal prison sentence. The Journal News reports Rita Gluzman has had several strokes and suffers from Parkinson’s disease, so was granted compassionate release from her Texas prison cell. She was convicted of murdering her husband in his Pearl River apartment. She was caught after her cousin was nabbed dumping his body parts into the Passaic River. She is reportedly planning to live in Hackensack with her sister. Her husband Yakov Gluzman was Russian scientist who worked at the former Lederle Labs in Pearl River.
