US SBA’s PPP Runs out of Money; RBA Open for Area Businesses that Have Questions

The U.S. Small Business Administration said yesterday the Paycheck Protection Program won’t be taking any more applications for the $349 billion program because it’s run out of money. Small businesses were reportedly edged out of the federal loan program due to a loophole. The publication “Restaurant Business” says larger chains were able to secure millions in funding while smaller companies couldn’t meet some of the requirements. WRCR’s Market Analyst Ken Mahoney of Mahoney Asset Management in Chestnut Ridge says it’s an unfortunate unintended consequence of the program…
