There’s billions of dollars out there that’s been unclaimed, some of it might even be yours! New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says there is $18.4 billion in lost money across the state. DiNapoli says his office returns $1.5 million daily to those filing claims. The County of Rockland is making it easier for you to get that money, if it is yours. Each town is holding special events over the next week to help you get that cash, if there’s any out there for you. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says the Unclaimed Funds event comes to Ramapo Town Hall on Monday…
Clarkstown’s and Haverstraw’s were held yesterday, but Stony Point residents can go to the RHO building Wednesday afternoon at 4, Orangetown residents can go to town hall at 11:30 Thursday morning, and for Ramapo residents the event comes to town hall Monday morning at 10.
