TZ High School Shuts Friday After Positive COVID Test

Tappan Zee High School in the Orangetown Central School District is closed today after an individual there tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. The district said the person had been in school since Monday and they are working with the Rockland County Department of Health on contact tracing. The school is being disinfected today and is expected to be open on Monday.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we’ve got 22 in the hospital confirmed with coronavirus, and a total of 843 active cases. The state says since the crisis began, we’ve had a total of 18,024 reported cases, 81 more than Thursday, and the number of deaths in the county since the pandemic began remains at 684.
