Two Rockland County Corrections Officers Indicted by Grand Jury on Official Misconduct Charges

August 3, 2020 by helpdesk1

Two Rockland County Corrections Officers have been indicted by a grand jury stemming from an investigation into the sexual mistreatment of
female minority inmates at the county jail. Rockland District Attorney Tom Walsh says 35 year-old John Kezek of Stony Point is charged with five counts of Official Misconduct and 39 year-old Christopher Taggart of New City faces 21 counts of Official Misconduct and two counts of Promoting Prison Contraband. In a statement Walsh said all residents, whether incarcerated or not, deserve to be treated fairly and have their rights protected. Kezek and Taggart are expected to be arraigned in County Court in the near future.
