Two men awaiting murder and other charges in the Rockland County Jail are now potentially in even more trouble. The U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York says 28 year-old Darin Peterson of West Haverstraw and 23 year-old Anthony Mitchell of Haverstraw have been accused of luring a 14 year-old to send them sexually explicit digital images of herself. They have been moved into federal custody, and if convicted of federal child porn charges they could spend 15 to 30 years in prison. Peterson was already facing murder and other charges stemming from a stabbing incident at a restaurant on Route 303 in Blauvelt two years ago, while Mitchell is charged with fatally shooting a 17-year-old last summer in a Spring Valley parking lot.
