The two rabbis charged with causing the Spring Valley blaze that killed a volunteer firefighter and a resident of an adult home in the village last year are asking a Rockland judge to toss the criminal charges against them. Nathaniel and Aaron Sommer are accused of causing the fatal fire in March last year at the Evergreen Court Home for Adults. The D-A has until mid-August to respond to the motion, the next court date is set for September.
