A Monsey man was arrested Friday after TSA caught him going through a security checkpoint at Newark Airport with a 9 mm handgun loaded with five bullets in his carry-on bag. The Department of Homeland Security said in a statement that officers at the checkpoint X-ray machine spotted the weapon and alerted Port Authority Police. They confiscated the gun and arrested the unidentified man on weapons charges.
