The New York State Thruway has quietly resumed suspending registrations for drivers who evade tolls. That’s according to News 12, which says the agency started sending out notices two months ago to about 100 people who owe a combined $1.8 million in tolls and fees. Billing statements and envelopes have reportedly been simplified. The Thruway paused the program four years ago as the switch to cashless tolling began. Three toll violations in a five-year period could get you your registration suspended.
