Three Retail Projects Moving Forward in Orangetown

Three long-awaited, food-related retail projects in the town of Orangetown could see construction soon. Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny says a new Lidl supermarket destined for Route 303 in Tappan, and the former Dunkin’ Donuts and Dollar General stores in Pearl River that were destroyed in a fire in November 2021, could all see activity shortly…

The Lidl supermarket is being built where Duke’s Ocean Grill and Bon Fahyr Buffet once stood in the Tappan Plaza. The Pearl River Dunkin’ Donuts and Dollar General stores at Middletown Road and Blauvelt Road were destroyed when a fire began in a below-ground firing range. The firing range is not being re-built.
