Suffern’s Good Samaritan Hospital ICU Physician Gets First COVID Vaccine in Rockland

December 16, 2020 by helpdesk1

An ICU physician at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern got the first COVID vaccine in Rockland County. News 12 said Dr. Jonathan Berg got the shot yesterday. High-risk staff at Good Sam and others in its network are among the first to get vaccinated. Stony Point and Orange County assemblyman Colin Schmitt says he has confidence in the vaccine, but in the meantime, he feels the restrictions should be given more time to work, without going into total lockdown …

Governor Andrew Cuomo says the goal is to avoid another shut down and to do that everyone must continue to socially distance, wear masks and wash your hands.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we lost six more to coronavirus, bringing the total to 733. We’ve got one in the hospital being examined, another 77 have been confirmed with coronavirus, and a total of 2,193 active cases. The state says since the crisis began, we’ve had a total of 24,334 reported cases, 151 more than Monday.
