Stony Point Supervisor to Defend Title Saturday at Fifth Annual SUEZ Lake DeForest Day

June 27, 2019 by helpdesk1

The long-awaited but hardly duplicated Fifth Annual SUEZ Lake DeForest Day is this Saturday. It’s the one day each year people can enjoy Lake DeForest in Clarkstown, and watch the always-entertaining Supervisors’ Challenge kayak race, featuring each town supervisor. Stony Point’s Jim Monaghan has won each time out, and he’s predicting victory again…

Haverstraw supervisor Howard Phillips says there’s another reason Monaghan wins every year…

Phillips is pretty sure Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann will once again earn his nickname, “Wrong Way” Hoehmann…

The event is a fundraiser for Hackensack Riverkeeper and a new 1½ mile Family Walk across the Freedom Causeway will benefit Keep Rockland Beautiful. We’ll hear more about that in tomorrow’s newscast. Meanwhile, for more information, go to www.LakeDeForestDay.com.
