Stony Point Passes Patriot Hills Redevelopment Incentive Overlay Zoning District

April 12, 2019 by helpdesk1

The Stony Point town board unanimously passed the Patriot Hills Redevelopment incentive overlay zoning district earlier this week. Stony Point supervisor Jim Monaghan says the new district will help encourage development at the Letchworth Village site, such as a large hotel and other potential uses…

George Potanovic is the president of the Stony Point Action Committee for the Environment, and he’s concerned not enough was done to explain the plan’s cost-benefit analysis…

Monaghan says anyone who wants to use the land would also have to clean up the buildings that are still on site. There is a group that is currently interested in the golf course and the site. That group is hosting an information session to discuss their plans later this month.
