Stony Point Minister from Hillcrest Files Racial Profiling Complaint with Ramapo Police Department

July 27, 2020 by helpdesk1

A Stony Point minister who lives in Hillcrest has filed a racial profiling complaint with the Ramapo Police department claiming he was questioned for no reason while walking in front of his home. The Journal News says 66 year-old C. Thomas Carson filed the complaint about a month ago. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says the town doesn’t tolerate racial profiling…

Carson is the pastor at Family Christian Fellowship in Stony Point and the founder of a community group called the Hillcrest Action Team. He told the Journal News he just wants to sit-down with the officer so he can get to know him, an apology and a social-distancing elbow bump, along with more community involvement by the police.
