Stony Point Looks to Solve Problem of Loud House Parties at Rental Homes

September 11, 2019 by helpdesk1

The town of Stony Point is looking for ways to combat noisy house parties being thrown at homes people are renting and advertising on the internet. Stony Point supervisor Jim Monaghan says he met recently with the police and area residents about a home owned by an LLC on Tiorati Trail. Monaghan says the police have been there repeatedly during the summer…

Naomi Striecher of Realty Teams, who’s real estate segment “Realty Talk” can be heard here on WRCR every Monday morning at 7:15, says people often look for homes for such “investment opportunities”…

Monaghan says the town passed a new ordinance this summer to help them deal with nuisance violations. Police can issue code violations with fines up to $10,000 on the third offense, but Monaghan says fighting an LLC owner in court has been proving to be difficult.
