Stony Point Budget Cuts Property Taxes 5 Percent; Gives Supervisor $26,000 Raise

November 2, 2020 by helpdesk1

The town of Stony Point’s new budget gives the supervisor a $26,000 pay raise starting next year to $120,000. Supervisor Jim Monaghan says he’s earned it…

Monaghan says a new town building inspector, to be hired to replace William Sheehan who has retired, will get about $50,000 less. The adopted $23 million 2021 budget also lowers residential property taxes by five percent.
