A Stony Point attorney has filed an appeal with the Appellate Division of the State Supreme Court in Brooklyn. He’s trying to reverse a lower court decision that stopped a referendum vote on the sale of the former Letchworth Village property and the Patriot Hills Golf Course. Supporters of putting the sale up to a vote had some of their petition signatures tossed out. Attorney Michael Diederich says, that shouldn’t have happened…
Stony Point supervisor Jim Monaghan has told “The Morning Show” that the developer has plans to keep the golf course open, but because of the COVID situation, the sale of the property hasn’t been nailed down just yet…
No word on when a decision on the appeal could be made, but Diederich is hoping a vote can be held in January 2021.
