State’s List of Schools that Didn’t Submit Reopening Plans Includes Nyack; District Says They Did Their Homework

August 11, 2020 by helpdesk1

The Nyack School district was among about a hundred others across New York that the state claimed failed to submit re-opening plans last Friday, but the district claims they did. In his press conference yesterday, governor Andrew Cuomo said the state needs the plan before any school can open next semester…

Nyack Public Schools said they submitted their plan July 31st, ahead of the deadline, the same plan that is posted on the district’s website. Cuomo said those districts that didn’t submit a plan have until this Friday to do so. COVID-19 by the numbers now, in Rockland, we’ve got three in the hospital being examined, another five have been confirmed with coronavirus. The state says we’ve got 13,949 reported cases, 24 more than yesterday, and the Rockland Health Department confirms 674 fatalities here in the county, no change for the last two weeks.
