The captain of the Sloatsburg Ambulance Corps, which was replaced last month by the Spring Hill Ambulance Corps following a funding and membership shortfall, has been accused in Rockland with Grand Larceny, Falsifying Business Records and other charges. Rockland District Attorney Tom Walsh called the arrest of 53 year-old Matthew Gannon of Sloatsburg “a sad day in the county.” A forensic audit will determine if any further charges are necessary. Gannon was arraigned in Sloatsburg Village Justice Court and released on his own recognizance.
