Six Rockland Government Employees Charged with Billing for Hours They Didn’t Work

December 12, 2022 by Jeff Lewis

Six Rockland County government employees, three from Rockland and three from elsewhere in the Hudson Valley, were arrested last week by the Sheriff’s office and accused of falsifying business records, official misconduct, and petit larceny, for allegedly charging the county for hours they didn’t work. Rockland County Executive Ed Day says the investigation began about six weeks ago when they learned of improprieties in the Parks Department…

The six accused were released on appearance tickets and are due back in Haverstraw Justice Court next Monday.
