Just a few weeks before the Penguin Plunge hits the Hudson River for charity in Nyack, and just a few days after the Stony Point Seals did the same in the Hudson in Stony Point, reports indicate there was an actual seal in the Hudson in Upper Nyack. Lohud.com says a harbor seal has been spotted off the shore of Nyack Beach State Park near Hook Mountain. It’s not as uncommon as you might think, a DEC spokesperson said seals have always used the Hudson River as habitat, but the mild winter has made the river even more seal-friendly.
