St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill 3-D Prints and Donates PPE to Area First Responders

April 22, 2020 by helpdesk1

An area college recently put its 3-D printers to the test to produce and send personal protective equipment to area first responders on the front lines working to stop the spread of the coronavirus. St. Thomas Aquinas College professor Dr. Meghan DeWitt says the Sparkill school’s staff quickly raised money so the Innovation Center could produce face shields for Nyack Hospital, the Convent Infirmary, Holy Name Hospitals, and Rockland and Bergen County EMT services…

STAC also sent a care package to the Javits Center in the city, which included disposable lab coats, nitrile gloves, ear loop face masks, goggles, sleeve protectors, foot and hair protectors.
