Rockland’s County Executive has asked the Public Service Commission to step up its investigation into allegedly low water pressure in the fire hydrants near the fatal Evergreen Adult Home blaze that killed a volunteer Spring Valley firefighter and a resident of the facility. Firefighters had to go about two-thirds of a mile away from the scene to find hydrants that had sufficient water pressure.
