Rockland’s Cornell Cooperative Extension Warns of Fish Caught in the Hudson

Fishing can be fun, and fish is an important part of a healthy diet. The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County warns you however to be aware of certain limitations on eating the fish you catch from the Hudson River, which is not yet frozen, so fishing is still being done there. Mike Wilson hosts the Extension’s “Storm Water Consortium” monthly program here on WRCR, and says the limitations affect people differently…

Fish from fresh waters are more likely to be contaminated than fish from remote marine waters because many fresh waters are close to human activities and contamination sources. For more information, visit http://rocklandcce.org/fish-advisory.
