Rockland’s Congressman Urges “Yes” Votes on Three Election Day Ballot Proposals

October 28, 2021 by Jeff Lewis

Rockland’s Congressman is among a group of area federal lawmakers who are urging New Yorkers to vote “Yes” on three of the five proposals that are on the ballot here in New York this Election Day. The first three initiatives they’re concerned about focus on reforming the redistricting process, the elimination of voter registration deadlines, and the accessibility of absentee ballots. Congressman Mondaire Jones says 19 states have passed new laws making it harder for their residents to vote, and that, he says, must change…

And that audio comes from the House Judiciary hearing last week. The three ballot initiatives are on the back of the ballot. Election Day is Tuesday, but regardless of the town you live in, you can vote early at any Rockland town hall, except Stony Point.
