The Rockland County Warming Center opens tomorrow. Catholic Charities of Rockland will run the center for up to 75 homeless single adults at the Yeager Health Center in Pomona. County Executive Ed Day says it’s more than just a place to warm up…
The Warming Center will operate through April. It’ll open each night regardless of the temperature and remain open during the day if the temperature is 32 degrees or below, including wind chill. There are various locations around the county where people can be picked up to be taken to the center, including Nyack, Haverstraw, Spring Valley, and Pomona (details below). For more information, call 845-828-3637 or 845-364-2346.
