Reichlin-Melnick opposes the congestion pricing plan that the MTA is expected to put in effect in the not-too-distant future. During the gubernatorial debates in June, Governor Kathy Hochul indicated congestion pricing would not be implemented within the next year. Unlike other communities surrounding the city, Rockland lacks a one-seat ride into Manhattan.
