Rockland Sheriff Pleased NYC Crime Spike Hasn’t Come to County

While COVID-19 has been spiking elsewhere in the country, the city has seen a spike of its own, in crime. That phenomenon hasn’t come to Rockland, and Sheriff Lou Falco calls what’s going on in the city the most horrific storm he’s ever seen…

Shootings and other crime have been on the rise of late in the city, some of the most recent high-profile incidents include the fatal shooting of a one year-old baby over the weekend, the murder of a tech CEO from Ulster County who was dismembered in his Lower East Side apartment, and an attack on a group of officers who were making an arrest on the Brooklyn Bridge.
