The Rockland County Warming Center is now open. Catholic Charities will be operating the Warming Center for homeless single adults at the Health Center in Pomona through April 30th. It will open each night regardless of the temperature and remain open during the day when the temperature, including wind chill, is 32 degrees or lower. COVID–19 safety protocols are in effect at the center. It has showers and laundry facilities, and breakfast and dinner are provided for overnight guests and lunch is served during the day when it’s open. Transportation from Nyack, Haverstraw and Spring Valley is also provided.

The state says since the crisis began, we’ve had a total of 18,110 reported cases, 86 more than Friday, and the number of deaths in the county since the pandemic began remains at 684.
