Rockland Officials, Ramapo Residents Concerned about Pascack Ridge Development Project

August 20, 2019 by helpdesk1

Hundreds came out for a public hearing Thursday in Ramapo on the Pascack Ridge Development project. Nearly 300 units are planned for a lot located between North Pascack Road, Ewing Avenue and Spring Brook Road, bordering Spring Valley, Nanuet and Clarkstown. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says there is a need for housing in his growing community…

Critics say a zone change would create a much larger community within Ramapo than can be sustained. A caller to “The Morning Show” on Friday who attended Thursday’s meeting, called it the most stressful Ramapo meeting she’s ever been to…

The project borders on Clarkstown. Supervisor George Hoehmann says he’s also concerned…

Rockland County Executive Ed Day says he and the county planning department are concerned about what he called a “massive project”…

If you have suggestions or comments about the Pascack Ridge project you can submit them to the town clerk by September 3rd at 4pm. A zone change could be granted after that.
