Rockland Loses Four More to COVID, Governor Stresses “Community Obligation” to Take the Vaccine

January 4, 2021 by helpdesk1

In a recorded message to the members of the Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York City, New York’s governor Sunday said he understands why some are hesitant to take the COVID vaccines. Governor Andrew Cuomo said however, getting vaccinated is not only an individual responsibility, it’s a community obligation…

Cuomo said the state is designing portable, pop-up vaccination sites to bring to public housing authorities, churches and community centers around the state to help aid in the vaccination effort.

COVID-19 by the numbers now, here in Rockland, we lost four more to COVID since Thursday, the total count stands at 771. We’ve got four hospitalized being examined, another 75 there are confirmed cases, and a total of 2,293 active cases. Overall, we’ve had 27,510 reported cases, 317 more than Thursday.
