December 26, 2023 by Jeff Lewis

Among her accomplishments, she is the first and ONLY woman to have served as chair of the County Legislature, which she did from 2005 to 2013; she founded the Legislature’s Commission on Women’s Issues, and she also proposed the “Arts in Public Places” law, which required art to be included in county construction projects.
