A Rockland lawmaker is hailing a bill signed last week by the governor that makes it easier to prosecute those who try to threaten or harm someone by sending intimate pictures of them over the internet. The bill, which becomes effective in December, was part of a package relating to online safety. The new laws will also establish a task force to study the effects of cyber-bullying.
