Rockland County Saves “Green” by Going Green for Electricity

Rockland County and some local agencies will be saving over $600,000 over three years as several local agencies go green for their electricity. County Executive Ed Day says the County of Rockland, Sewer District No. 1, RCC and Rockland Green, formerly the Solid Waste Management Authority, got competitive pricing on green electricity with Engie Power & Gas…

In addition to saving money, Day says using 100% renewable electricity reduces greenhouse gas emissions, helping Rockland pave the way towards getting New York State Climate Smart Communities Certification.
