Rockland County Health Department Issues Rabies Warning for Woman and Young Girl Who Brought Kitten to Hi-Tor in June

The Rockland County Department of Health is looking for a woman and a young girl who brought a 9-week-old kitten to the Hi-Tor Animal Care Center in Pomona on Friday, June 26th, because they may have been exposed to rabies. The health department says they may need to seek immediate medical attention, and without it, rabies can be fatal. If you are or know these people you’re asked to contact the Rockland County Department of Health at 845-364-2656 or after regular business hours call the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department at 845-638-5400.
