Rockland Congressman Urges Response to Iran-backed Attack in Jordan

January 30, 2024 by Jeff Lewis

It hasn’t been a great month for U.S. service members. Three U.S. troops were killed and dozens more wounded Sunday by Iran-backed militants in Jordan. Rockland Congressman Mike Lawler of the 17th district says, “It’s time we take the gloves off and give Iran and its proxies a full taste of their own medicine.” That comes after the death of two Navy Seals earlier this month who were declared dead by the U.S. Navy after they went missing while conducting an operation off the coast of Somalia. Rockland County Executive Ed Day told “The Morning Show” Friday it’s important to remember the heroes we have out there who try to keep us as safe as possible…

Reuters reported there have been more than 150 attacks on American forces by Iran-backed forces in Iraq, Syria, Jordan and off the coast of Yemen since the Israel-Hamas war began October 7th. Sunday’s attack was the first to result in fatalities.
