Thousands were without power yesterday, just a handful remain without power this morning. Many found themselves stranded on the Thruway which had been closed for hours during the morning rush due to flooding and debris on the roadway, or stuck in the resulting traffic on Route 59. The mess was caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida late Wednesday into early Thursday and the subsequent flooding.
