Update 7/1/22 12:14pm: Unfortunately due to the forecast of scattered and severe thunderstorms tomorrow (Saturday, July 2), the Town of Haverstraw has rescheduled their Fireworks to Sunday, July 3rd. The Stolen Moments Band performs at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Fireworks start at approximately 9:30 pm and Bowline Point Park opens to the general public at 5:00 pm.
Monday is Independence Day, and government offices and some businesses will be closed. Area towns will be having holiday celebrations beginning this week through the fourth. Weather permitting, the town of Haverstraw’s fireworks show is Saturday, July 2nd. Supervisor Howard Phillips says his town’s show is the best in the county…

Stony Point doesn’t have fireworks, but they will have a reading of the Declaration of Independence and they’ll blast the cannon at the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site on Battlefield Road. That’ll be 2:45pm on Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd. Orangetown’s holiday festivities are, of course, at Pearl River’s Central Avenue Field on July 4th, the fireworks get underway just after dusk. Not to be outdone, Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says they’re teaming up with the New York Boulders for fireworks July 3rd and 4th after the games at Clover Stadium in Pomona…
