The County Executive unveiled his proposed $730 million spending plan yesterday, and it includes an additional $5.7 million for a new Hi Tor Animal Care Center in Pomona. Day says the budget comes in under the property tax cap of about 3 percent. The property tax increase is 2.87 percent, around $3 a month to the average homeowner. The Legislature has tentatively set Tuesday, November 19th for a public hearing and Tuesday, December 3rd to vote on the plan.
