Rivertown Film will be screening a biography on Nobel Prize-winning writer Toni Morrison, formerly of Nyack, who passed away in August. Much like her own writing, the film “The Pieces I Am” takes viewers through an exploration of race in America and down through history. Bill Batson is on Rivertown Film’s Creative Advisory Board, and says he was touched a few years ago when Morrison came to Nyack to help launch her “Bench by the Road” project…
After the film Batson will moderate a discussion about the film. The screening is being held at the Nyack Center on the corner of Depew Avenue and South Broadway tomorrow at 8pm. For more information, including ticket prices, click here.
