Incumbents won in two Rockland village elections this week. In Airmont, Mayor Nathan Bubel, and Trustees Morris Friedman and Lawrence Toole won over former Airmont Mayor Ralph Bracco and trustee candidates Marcal Matthews and Joseph Sferrazza. The winners will serve four-year terms. In Pomona, trustee Ilan Fuchs became mayor over Steven Katz. Joel Grunwald and Raanan Zidile won trustee positions on the board. There were uncontested ballot races in Chestnut Ridge and Montebello. In Upper Nyack, Mayor Karen Tarapata was re-elected to a two-year term, as was trustee Michael Esmay. Allison Crowther won her first term as trustee.
