Report: Speed a Possible Factor in Fatal Pearl River Accident; “Little Brown Jug” Game vs. Nanuet to be Played in His Honor

October 17, 2019 by helpdesk1

Orangetown Police are reportedly looking at excessive speed as a possible factor in Sunday’s tragic crash in Pearl River that took two teens’ lives and left one in the hospital. Orangetown supervisor Chris Day says the police investigation thus far suggests the car was heading northbound on Route 304 near the Crooked Hill Road overpass when it struck another car…

Funeral services for 17 year-old Altin Nezaj were held yesterday in Yonkers. 15 year-old Saniha Cekic of Brooklyn, a cousin of the car’s driver, was buried Tuesday. 17 year-old Aisha Radoncic of Orangeburg was reportedly in good condition at Westchester Medical Center. Orangeburg Police say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Nezaj was a member of the Pearl River High School football team, and Saturday’s “Little Brown Jug” game against Nanuet will be played in his honor. If you have any information about the incident, contact the Orangetown Police Department at 845-359-2121.
