The Blue Hill Plaza office complex in Pearl River was apparently raided by the FBI earlier this week, possibly looking for a large collection of wine that may have been stashed there by a former iconic New York City wine shop. The New York Post reported the Sherry-Lehmann wine shop, which closed earlier this year, had been located in a building at 505 Park Avenue and 59th Street. It was owned by the same company, Hong Kong-based Glorious Sun Group, which also owns Blue Hill Plaza on Veterans Memorial Drive. The Post says Sherry-Lehmann operated a wine storage service called “Wine Caves” for various clients that lacked the storage space for large collections, but special permits are required for that. Neither Sherry-Lehmann’s lawyers nor the FBI had any comment.
