Fiscal and Education monitors say the East Ramapo school district could face a $44.3 million deficit by 2028 if voters continue to reject budget plans. That’s according to the Journal News. Students could find themselves without varsity or other sports, electives, honors or AP courses, and no classes beyond the basics needed for a high school diploma. The Journal News says school buildings in the district would be cleaned less frequently and see cuts to security. The next vote comes up next week.
