Report: Alleged Hanukkah Attacker Suffers from Mental Illness

A defense psychiatrist in the Monsey Hanukkah attack case says 37 year-old Grafton Thomas of Greenwood Lake suffers from mental illness and is incompetent to stand trial on federal hate crimes. That’s according to the Journal News. Thomas’ attorney has asked a federal judge for a competency evaluation. The December attack injured six, including a 72-year-old who remains in a coma with a fractured skull.
