New York’s governor and area business and political leaders broke ground yesterday on the state’s largest pharmaceutical company’s new headquarters in Westchester. Regeneron’s $1.8 billion research, pre-clinical manufacturing and support facilities in Tarrytown is expected to bring in a-thousand new, full-time, high-skill jobs to the region over the next five years. Governor Kathy Hochul says Empire State Development is supporting the project with up to $100 million in performance-based tax credits…
Among the drugs Regeneron is known for, Dupixent, which treats adolescent and adult atopic dermatitis. They’re also known for their so-called COVID “antibody cocktail” that former president Donald Trump took when he caught coronavirus in October 2020. The cocktail was granted emergency use authorization the following month, but has not yet been approved by the FDA for widespread use.
