Ramapo Votes to Move Ahead with Environmental Study for Northeast Corridor, Town

January 25, 2021 by helpdesk1

The town of Ramapo last week approved by a vote of 4-to-nothing to move ahead with an environmental study for the northeast corridor of town. Ramapo supervisor Michael Specht says the study will focus on the Pomona area, but will also cover the whole town and neighboring areas…

Micheal Miller of the Hillcrest CUPON is concerned future projects for the area are being driven by the developers, not for the benefit of the town’s residents…

The northeast corridor includes the old Minisceongo Golf Course, the Striker property off Route 45 in Pomona, and land near the Gracepoint Gospel Church on New Hempstead Road in New City.
